About DEPOTDEPOT is a pioneering new three-day art event in Oxford run collaboratively by artist-led commercial galleries, individual artists, specialist art fair platform ARTSVP, and Oxford-based arts charity Fusion Arts.Set to take place in central Oxford from Thursday, September 26th to Saturday, September 28th, 2024, DEPOT ‘24 aims to revolutionise the local art scene by showcasing exceptional contemporary art in a culturally rich city easily accessible from London.DEPOT is a new concept exhibition-meets-art fair aimed at collectors and art lovers to enable access to exceptional contemporary art outside of the capital, in a city with a rich cultural offering, whilst still within easy reach. Collaboration: DEPOT brings together artist-led commercial galleries, individual artists, and the non-profit arts charity Fusion Arts for a unique collaborative experience that brings new voices from the contemporary art world to the city.The 2024 edition event features 9 national galleries selected by invitation, and solo presentations by international contemporary artists, welcoming a high-calibre representation of contemporary art.Prime Location: Central Oxford, known for its vibrant cultural heritage, provides the perfect backdrop for connecting with serious art collectors and enthusiasts. Oxford is easily accessible by train and the Oxford Tube runs every 15 minutes
to/from central London.

DEPOT ‘24 Gallery/Participant FAQsWhat is the Venue address?DEPOT, 15 Park End St, Oxford OX1 1HHWhat are the public/ Private View opening hours?Thursday 5 pm – 9pm
Friday 11 – 7 pm
Saturday 11 – 6pm
What is the access and plan for set up/ break down?The space will be open for set up from Wednesday 25th 10 - 5pm, and Thursday daytime 10 - 4 pm.We request all to be installed and show ready by 4 pm for opening at 5pm.Deinstall is on Saturday after 6 pm to be complete by 9pm.
Please contact us if there is any issue with deinstall timings for your gallery, or you require a recommended shipper.
What is the space allocation and plan for galleries?We are dividing up the space between 9 galleries side by side at one end of the space. There will not be ‘booths’, it will be more of an open plan exhibition space shared between exhibitors with allocated areas to hang.We strongly advise labeling artworks with artwork details and gallery name, or have visible QR codes.The front end of the space will host 3 solo artists presented by Fusion Arts, and a welcoming bar area located at the front area with seating.What is the m2 hanging and floor space?Each gallery will get approximately 8 linear metres of hanging wall (approx 3.2 - 3.6m high)
This will be a combination of existing concrete walls and wooden stud walls built in the space. Floor space available to all galleries as required.
A floor plan will be available soon.How do I pay my £500 exhibitor contribution to Fusion Arts?Your DEPOT contribution goes to Fusion Arts, the Oxford-based arts and social justice charity who are hosts of the venue, and goes towards their costs to run and operate.
Fusion Arts will send BACs details for making payment in advance of the event. Details will be shared via your ArtSVP gallery Portal.
Where can I park – drop off and long-stay?Drop off parking is available at the venue, the nearest long-stay parking is available at Westfield Carpark.Is there secure storage for artwork etc?Storage is not available for artwork at the venue, please only bring what you intend to hang. There is space allocated for storing labeled packing materials and small non-valuable items.Do we need to organise our own insurance?Galleries are responsible for their own art insurance.Do we need to organise our own install tech?We welcome galleries to install their own artworks where possible, there will be a couple of install techs at the venue on the set up days however this resource is limited.What is the security set up?24 hour security is provided from Wednesday to Saturday of the event. We will not have security at the venue on Sunday therefore we require all artwork to be de-installed on Saturday between 6 pm and 9pm.How many artists can I show?We recommend 1 - 3 artists per gallery.Recommendations for accommodation?Please find local places to stay at Oxfords main tourism information www.experienceoxfordshire.comOr options for Air BnB in central Oxford.What equipment is being provided?Each gallery will be provided with max 2 chairs at their section. Please contact us if you have any special requirements.
Please bring your own equipment for installing work, and any sales equipment/materials.
There is Wifi available onsiteEVENT PROMOTION/ GETTING THE CROWD:How to invite clients?
Each exhibitor will be provided with a ARTSVP portal with an allocation of invites to distribute for the preview evening. You can also share a link to the public day booking page. From the portal you can see anyone that has accepted your invite or booked through your link. You will also be notified when the guest checks in on the door.
How many invites can I send?
Each exhibitor can invite 25 guests to the preview evening. Each invite allows the guest to book for themselves and a +1.
When will I have access to the portal to send out invites?You will have access to your portal by Monday 2nd September. Please check your other email folders if the access email misses your inbox.What is the plan for Private View event?Guests are invited to the Private View from 5 pm on Thursday by galleries and participants and need to book their ticket via ARTSVP. There will be a guest list on the door.There will be free drinks supplied by a drinks sponsor at the Private View.On Friday and Saturday there will possibly be a paid bar, or sponsored drinks supplied.What is the space capacity?The space can hold approximately 300 people at any one time.What is required for DEPOT Website? Do we need to send artwork images?Galleries are advised to host their own Depot exhibited artworks and sales via their own website.The DEPOT website will be kept simple with key visitor information.
Galleries and artists will be listed, linking to their sites.
A online viewing room will also launch the week of the event. Prior to this Max ([email protected]) will be in touch to request images and key info to add to the viewing room.Any enquiries though the viewing room will go directly to you.The viewing room will stay live for 1 month after the event.For press/promotional purposes please send 1 image per artist to [email protected]Please include the required caption and credits e.g. title, dims, medium, dates, that can be used for promotional purposes.When is the event announcement happening?A press release is being sent on Wednesday 28 August. Information will be made live on the website and announcements on DEPOT Instagram @depotoxfordPlease announce via your own platforms from this date.Is there an invite graphic/PDF and what date is advised to send?We will share DEPOT Logos and graphics for you to share via social media and enewslettersIs there photography organised?Photography is organised for Thursday 4 pm to take installation view pictures of each individual gallery section, and event photography at the Private View. Galleries are welcome to organise their own photography if more detailed photography is required.
